How are votes counted on SaaS Directory Info?

Voting rules, eligibility requirements, and the separation between community votes and paid ranking features.

Updated

Voting eligibility

To participate, sign in and verify your email. Each listing receives at most one vote from you. Votes apply to live launches only.

Self-voting restrictions

You may vote for your own launch, but only after you have cast a vote for another user's listing first. This requirement ensures meaningful community participation.

Fraud detection

The system enforces hourly and daily vote limits to prevent manipulation. Unusual voting patterns are flagged for human review and remain uncounted pending verification.

Votes are independent of pricing

Community votes operate separately from:

  • Paid rankings (the billboard feature)
  • Verification badges
  • Technical specs and security data

No payment—to SaaS Directory Info or elsewhere—alters vote totals. A listing's vote count reflects community opinion only.

Vote weight

Active participants build influence over time. Members with sustained engagement may see their individual votes weighted more heavily in aggregate rankings.

Questions people ask

Can I vote if I haven't verified my email?
No. Sign in and confirm your email address before you can vote on any listing.
What stops vote manipulation?
Hourly and daily limits prevent bursts. Suspicious voting patterns are flagged, held for review, and not counted until cleared.
Does paying for a billboard affect my vote count?
No. Paid features, community votes and verified data are completely separate systems. Payment cannot change vote totals.
