Q1Are my files really never uploaded?

Yes. Files are parsed and rewritten by JavaScript inside your own tab. You can verify this by opening DevTools and checking the Network panel while running a batch, or by disconnecting from the network entirely and running the entire job offline.

Q2Will the numbers be searchable in the output?

Yes. Every stamp is a real text object drawn with a PDF standard-14 font, so Ctrl+F finds it and e-discovery review platforms index it. Bitmap stamps are not acceptable for production work.

Q3What do the five checks catch?

Metadata checks flag author, custom fields, dates, XMP, and embedded files. Redaction checks find recoverable text under black bars and unapplied annotations. Content checks flag privileged language, SSNs, emails, and phone numbers. Production QA reports gaps, duplicates, mixed geometry, and scans with no text layer. Index reconciliation checks your ranges. All are read-only and export findings as JSON or CSV.

Q4Does it modify my original files?

Never. Output always goes to a different directory that you pick. Stamping a PDF cannot be undone, which is exactly why the tool refuses to write over your input.

Q5How does the license work without an account?

You get a key that is an Ed25519 signature over your license data. The matching public key is compiled into the page. Verification is performed locally, so it works offline and forever. Paste it once and it stays in local storage.
