What portform.co looks like

PortForm is a form backend service that handles form submissions without requiring you to build or run server infrastructure. Point any HTML form at PortForm's endpoint with an access key, and submissions are stored in a database before being delivered to your inbox as emails. The service includes spam filtering with honeypot fields and optional CAPTCHAs, email delivery with automatic retries, integration with Slack, Google Sheets, Notion and webhooks, and a 30-day history dashboard. Every submission is guaranteed to be stored first; email and integration deliveries are retried if they fail, then flagged for you to review.

Frequently looked up

Q1Is my access key a secret?
No. The access key is a routing identifier like a mailto address, showing where submissions go but not who can send them. It is published in page source by design. Protection comes from rate limiting, spam filtering and submission quotas per key, not from secrecy. Leaking a key is not a security incident; if abused, rotate it in the dashboard.
Q2What happens when I hit 300 submissions on the free plan?
New submissions are rejected with a clear error until the rolling 30-day window resets. Nothing is silently dropped, nothing is billed by surprise, and stored submissions remain accessible. The window rolls from your last reset, not a calendar month, avoiding stampedes and edge cases.
Q3How long are form submissions kept?
Submissions, request logs and delivery logs are retained for 30 days then deleted. You can export submissions as CSV or download everything (keys, submissions, integrations and audit events) as JSON before purging.
Q4Does PortForm send emails from my domain?
No. Notifications are sent from PortForm's sending domain with the form submitter set as reply-to, so replies go back to the person who filled the form. No DNS configuration is needed on your side.
Q5Does it work with React, Vue, Astro, Hugo, WordPress and other frameworks?
Yes. The endpoint accepts form encoding, multipart and JSON, so anything capable of making an HTTP request can use it. The documentation includes ready-made snippets for each framework.
